Pathfinder Club

For those who know, “Pathfindering” conjures up images of marching, camping, curious hobbies, bugs and bats. Enlarging their windows on the world and building a noble character are the dual objectives of this club designed for children ages 10-16.

Currently with nearly 2 million members around the world, this Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored club accepts any youth who promise to abide by the Pathfinder Pledge and Law regardless of their church affiliation.

The Pathfinder Club offers youth and adults the opportunity to make a difference for young people, develop friendships with fellow staff, learn more about God's creation, and improve their training skills. The club provides a key step in its educational program and an opportunity to take the youth out from a classroom setting into outdoor adventures as well.

Goals
The Pathfinder Club program is designed to accomplish the following goals:
  1. Youth will learn Christian values.
  2. Youth will develop self-discipline.
  3. Youth will make friends.
  4. Youth will enjoy safe and exciting adventures.
  5. Youth will learn what teamwork is all about.
  6. Youth will be prepared for church and community responsibilities.
  7. Youth will cultivate courage, self-reliance, honesty, loyalty, and kindness.
  8. Youth will learn to acquire hobbies and skills.
  9. Youth will grow in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
