"Standing Tall"

Dear Friends,

In June, Diana and I were out visiting our son Jimmy who is going to school at Walla Walla, Washington which is in the relatively flat, southeast corner of the state. I took this picture of a lonely grain silo or storage unit next to the railroad tracks under threatening skies in the mid-afternoon. The structure stands there silently day after day next to the tracks ready to serve or to be served. It doesn't seem like much of a job to me. Rather lonely. Rather boring.

>Psalms 84:10 reminds us that, "I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked." Yes, it is better to stand tall next to the tracks then to stoop down to enter the tents of sin. Never be afraid to stand tall, to stand alone, to stand for something lest you fall for anything. May the Lord, who stood tall while hanging on a lonely cross, strengthen our sagging hearts today and everyday until He comes.
